Creating a New Book:

Track 'n Trade Pro is designed for the trader to be able to save chart analysis on multiple charts in one file that we refer to as a commodity "Book".  Thereby having several charts inside the Book as "pages".

Each chart that you open and view from the Commodities tab is listed below in the Active Charts list.  Charts are listed in Alphabetical order in this window.  To switch between charts simply click on the different charts listed.  This list is your "Table of Contents" per say for your Commodity Book.

Saving your New Commodity Book:

  1. Click on File and then Save Book As.  This will open the Save As window.

  2. In the Save As window, you will need to note two things:
    1. First look at the directory specified next to Save In, the default folder should be My Documents.  We recommend you use this directory unless you are familiar with the tree structure of Windows and feel comfortable browsing to other directories.  This is the location in which your book will be saved.
    2. Second, notice the name of your file (default being Book1.tnt) after File Name. It is recommended that you rename the Book, so as not to accidentally over-write this file the next time you save a file in Track 'n Trade Pro. Some TnT users have named Books according to Groups, Commodities, or Exchanges, depending on the charts that they are saving in the Book.  As you become familiar with TnT, you will soon develop a system of your own.
